We had to take Lily into the doctor again today. She is only drinking an average of 15 oz. a day of her formula for about 5 days. She also has had diarrhea very frequently all weekend. She lost 1 lb in less than a week ( they weighed her on the exact same scale at the doctors) I have never seen her doc with such a serious look on his face, they took her off of every med that she is on including her nebs for 24 hrs to see if that may change anything for her. He is concerned that it may be all the meds she has been on since she was born have affected her somewhere internally. So we go back on Thursday to be reweighed unless stopping her meds does nothing in that case we go sooner.
Tommorrow she goes into her pediatricians clinic and then the orthopedic doc for her clavicle which the radiologist has called it focal mesodermal dysplasia of the right clavicle ( anyone know wat that is?)
So prayers once again would be super great!!!!!!!
Thanks for listening

I'm surprised the doctor didn't give her any IV fluid. I would think that many days without oral intake and with her having diarrhea could make her dehydrated. Hoping she's feeling better soon.

Focal Dermal Hypoplasia is a rare form of ectodermal dysplasia that is thought to be inherited as an X-linked dominant genetic trait with lethality in males. It is found primarily in females. This disorder is characterized by skin abnormalities in which there are underdeveloped areas of skin that form streaks or lines and tumor-like herniations of fat on the skin. Skeletal, facial, dental, ocular and soft tissue defects are also present.

Gosh, your poor little one. I'm tripling up my prayers and thoughts for her, for you and your family. No child or family should have to go through this. I so hope you get some good answers and solutions and get on the road to permanent recovery!!!

We had trouble with my Lily once when she was about 15 months. She'd gotten the stomach flu & RSV. Well, she was in the hospital, and each time she had an episode of diarrhea, they'd take her off her formula, saying she wasn't tolerating her feedings. Turned out, she'd gone without much of any formula for so long (it ended up being close to a week), she was actually having starvation stools. We finally had to give her Immodium to stop the stooling, which helped immensely. I don't think that's what's going on in your case. I think it's more likely she needs to have the healthy flora replaced in her gut after having been on antibiotics for so long. (That's what the lactobacillus I was telling you about does.) I really hope your little Lily is feeling better soon!
