How often will you give your children baths, or make them take baths if they are older??

I try to have them bathe every other night. Sometimes, if I am really tired, it goes longer. It also depends on what they have done that day. Two can shower on their own. The other two can not. AND I am the only one that will tell them to go and get in the shower. My husband never thinks of that!

We had no schedule in our house but are now trying every other night with the older girls.

My ds showers every night, but he is 11 and very concerned with his appearance for the girls. (he would deny this)

My dd on the other hand, if she doesn't stink it can wait. Usually every other night, but it has gone as long as four days. I know that is pretty nasty, but how dirty can you get sitting at a desk all day.

Ds #1 (2 yrs) usually gets one every other night during the winter months (unless he goes outside then it's every night) however, he's still in pullups SOMETIMES, so I always wash his sitter (bottom) and his no-no (privates) at night.

Ds #2 (2months) gets a REAL bath once or twice a week, and wipe downs daily.

I also usually only bathe my three every other day. They are still pretty young. My dd does go to preschool but unless she has done something messy or such then I wait. We have also gone longer depending on what goes on in the evening.

my 6 year old showers everyday usually by his own choice! My 2 year old gets a bath every night because it helps out getting him relaxed and calm for bed. My 18 month old gets one every other nite and my 5 month old gets an actual bath 2 times a week but I wash her down every day!

These days DS (14mo) EXPECTS a bath every night after dinner. He loves 'em. I only wash his hair every other bath or so... If he weren't so demanding I'd say every other day.

2-3 times a week in the winter or they dry out like crazy! way more often in the warmer months and depending on what they did all day and how tired we are at 6:30. both girls have very long hair (piper can sit on hers) so they only get a hair wash twice a week. i'm sure as they get older they will make changes in this area.

On doctor's orders I have our kids bathe twice a week. They have eczema and bathing too often will dry out their skin in the winter, so I have them do a lot of washing up in between baths -- I never want to have the "stinky" kids. In the summer, they bathe every day!

DD is a red-head with sensitive skin so I'm careful about how often she showers or bathes. Right now she is in twice weekly swim lessons so she takes a shower right after that and a bath at least once on the weekends. We add bath oil to her bathwater to help with her skin. Because of the chlorine in the pool we're washing her hair twice a week but it should only really be once a week.

Everyday at school the good kids earn a stamp on their hand before they leave. Some of the kids have been asking for the stamp to be put on their forehead and it has become quite the trend. I swear it started because the teacher wants to see if we wash our kids nightly! Poor DD wakes up with a terrible case of bedhead whether or not I washed and styled the hair the night before. I do bathe her, really I do!
