Discoveries about the new board - tips, hints, etc.

Let's post all our discoveries about the new board here. When you find out how to use a new feature, let others know about it. Chances are you'll help someone out. This board is new to me too, and I think we can all learn from each other.

Here's my contribution: You can switch your time zone setting by going into your USER CP menu at the top and then into edit settings.

Let's see if we can keep this post going for a long time.... Every little new nugget of information helps!

There is a little check mark just before the title of the post & if you click on it...you can go to just the new posts & not have to scroll through what you have already read. Also there is a check by the name of the last poster & if you click on it...you go to the last post.

Great tip...you can use any fonts as you are posting/typing or in your siggies. My siggy font is JOKERMAN FONT. And the font that I am using as I am typing is Kristen itc

All you have to remember is the code:

[FONT=""] [/font] but remember to put your font name in between " "

if you are on the list of discussions and hover your mouse over a topic a preview will pop up of what the topic is about without opening it.

If you haven't yet checked out the settings in the User CP, you should really check it out. There is a spot where you can turn off viewing of avatars/siggys if you want your pages to load faster.

You can view your PMs by clicking on the Private Messages link above the "Welcome, username" box in the upper right hand corner.

Okay this is wierd.

whenI went to the thread title I happen to click next to it. A box appeared with the title name in there, HIGHLIGHTED, like I could just delete it or make a new one? I don't know, but thats wierd.

Under the "hello aliadam" (or whoever you are) there's a button called quick links. If you click on that you can marked forums read. I know alot of us like to mark them read after each viewing, so we can just click on view new posts next time. So I was glad to find this!!
