I just wanted to say I was sorry for asking about people's incomes. I have asked Jennifer to delete the post. I didn't mean to offend anyone or to be rude by asking. I just thought we could talk about things here that we sometimes couldn't with other people.

I've just been doing a lot of thinking lately about our future. It just seems sometimes that people that seem to be in the same income catagory with us have so much more than we do. I'm not jealous really, I'm just trying to figure it out. I don't understand how people can have $300,000 houses and still expect to ever be able to retire if they don't make much more than we do. I feel like we are not doing something right. Anyway, I'm sorry I was rude, please forgive me.

You were not rude. I did change the thread title, but if you really want me to, I'll go ahead and delete it.

Thank you. Yes, please delete. It's obvious by some of the responses some people were mad that I asked.

I wasn't mad at you for asking, I was suprised!! And to tell you the truth, I don't think you would really learn much from the answers. I was really suprised at how many people answered!

Hun, the best thing you can do is not worry about how someone else does it, and just concentrate on what works for your family on your income, because you never know how much debt and stress those other people with the big houses are in everyday just to keep up with the payments. You can't enjoy life when you have to worry about how other's do it. Ever watch those t.v. shows on TLC, the one called " Kids by the Dozen" comes to mind, they usually reveal their annual income on the show and it's amazing how they raise all those kids and keep food on the table but most of all they are happy, they don't have alot of material things but they sure look happy and loved!! That would mean more to me than any annual income ever would.

I thought the same thing re: have the choice of answering. I am someone who doesn't like to divulge our income, but have no problems with anyone who does.
Sometimes I wonder why people feel they HAVE to answer a question. If a thread doesn't fit their ideals or feel offended, just move on.
If you ever want someone to chat with for tips etc, just send me a PM.

It takes a lot to offend me - your post doesn't come close. Don't worry about it!
