easter time is coming and those peeps need to be nice and stale!

Funny, we went to Target the other night and DH asked me if we should buy them and open them up for me now so they're nice and stale by Easter I can go either way on Peeps...but pudding skin...eh...

Yummy! I'll take some blue ones pleaes. Hold the pudding skin :hurl: but I'll take some of those orange circus peanut things (stale) for afterwards.

I love stale peeps and look forward to them each year. Pudding skin, not my favorite. I am just about done with the bag of stale marshmallow minis that I have in the pantry.

I don't get it - why make them stale? don't they get hard & crusty?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh by making them stale, then they get chewy!

if curious about the taste/texture, just pop them in the freezer till firm - it gives you the same basic effect but quicker
