Would anyone be so kind as to give me directions on how to pm someone from this site? I'm not very computer literate, unless it comes to using one for my job. I'd appreciate any help

One way is to click their screen name that is posted next to the avatar...then just click on send user a private message.

The person you're trying to PM (or email) has to have this option enabled in their control panel. Click on the person's name in a thread/post to see the option for PM and Email in the drop down menu. You can also search for a person's username in the memberlist (click on "Member Lists" in the blue bar at the top of the screen/webpage). When you find their name, you can click on it and see the PM and email options.

If the person you're trying to PM has chosen to not receive PM's, you won't see the PM option when you click on their name. Same for email...if the person you're trying to email has chosen to not receive emails via this board, you won't see the email option when you click on their name. If that is the case, you might have to just post on the board and request that they contact you.

You can edit your own PM and email options in your control panel. Click on "User CP" (located in the blue bar near the top of the screen/webpage) and then click on "edit options" to enable or disable PM's and emails.

You can also goto your PM inbox, click send new message and start typing the persons name...It will drop down a box names, choose the right one, or just type in their name , ie if you wanted t oPM me you would type 2bearsmom; and then carry on with your message...as you start typing 2 it will give you all usernames that start with 2 and you can choose the right one....make sense? Hope so....
