It's safe...it's ibuprofen every four hours and Tylenol every four hours...and since they're two different medications, it won't overdose her. You simply stagger it so that she's taking something for the fever every two hours. It sounds confusing...but on paper it's not. I've done it several times during extreme sickness with the older three...and I did even ask the dr. if it was still recommended to do that and she said it would be fine. You only do it when one of them alone isn't breaking the fever.

Example:

Tylenol @ 10:00 a.m.
Ibuprofen @ 12:00 p.m.
Tylenol @ 2:00 p.m.
Ibuprofen @ 4:00 p.m.

etc.
