My little boy David Noah who is 7 was at baseball practice last night and got hit in the face by a ball hit by one of the coaches! It busted his nose and he had an nose bleed for 2 hours. We had to take him to urgent care because we could not get it to stop bleeding last night, they took exrays and said it is not broken but badly bruised and alot of the soft tissue in his nose was damaged by the blow. The poor kid looks like he got in a fight or something and lost! The doctor says we have to becareful for a couple of days because any bumps to his nose could further damage it. My little guy is so brave even after all the pain he just wants to know when he can play ball again. I asked him if maybe he should give up baseball and take up a safer hobby like scrapbooking! LOL He said NO THANKS!
The poor coach that hit him feels so bad he keeps calling to check on him, he was hitting balls to all the kids on the field and was trying to hit one to an outfielder, well my poor kid was playing second and when the coach hit it he hit it hard but it just went straight at David Noah and not over his head. The kid took a direct shot to the face, we are very lucky nothing was broken and its just lots of bruising.

Oh my gosh. The poor guy. You are very lucky. I have gotten hit in the arm with a ball before and that hurts...I couldn't imagine in the face....I am wrinkling my nose as I type this. I hope he feels better very soon. And that is so great that he can't wait to get back!!

I can only imagine the pain he is going through. Sounds like he is a brave little boy. Prayers going up for him and hoping that his nose heals fast.

Poor little guy! I will send prayers that he gets better real soon.

OMG! That's awful! Big hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery. I can't believe he is so ready to go back...he's a tough one.

Ooh. Tough little guy! Please give him hugs from us! I hope he does take it easy!

thanks so much for the warm thoughs and wishes guys. He is doing much better today and he even has been running around roughhousing. Wich of course has me stressed cause all I can think of is when the doctor told me he couldnt take another blow to the nose. I am really worried about tomorrow because he has a game and I am scared to let him play. My hubby says we have to let him get back on that horse. So we are gonna go and have a good time at the ballpark. And as for that coach, I was really worried that David Noah would be scared or leary of him but nope he ran right over and gave him a high five and told him he couldnt wait to play tomorrow. The coach was very relieved.

poor little guy! i got hit in the ankle when i was young and that hurt insanely. i can't imagine in the face! i hope he feels better soon.
