Yesterday was just crazy with dd's birthday. I left the house in the morning to go get balloons and my dh was supose to be getting the patio ready. When I got home I found him takeing the floor out of the tree house What the heck , that wasnt the time for this. He said it wasnt stable and he didnt want any kids to get in it. Okay nice thought but we couldnt have just taken down the ladder and told them NO!

Then I was cooking and dumped half the bowl of pasta into the dishwasher, had to go get more!

HAd a disaster with the pizza crust, decided to just go buy some and this is where things went bad. I was crumpy and in a rush, I didnt look very well before pulling out of my spot. I heard a scream and then a crunch. I hit a woman! Well, more like the shopping cart she was pushing but I felt sick to stomach none the less. She saw me just in time, otherwise I would have run her over. The cart broke my tail light and oddly enough that poor woman cared more about that and me than she did about herself. She was a kind person and she said it was okay and not to worry but I started crying anyway and then she hugged me. Can you believe that! She was the once than almost got killed and Im the one getting a hug. I, glade to find out not all people are bad and Im glade she is not the type to call a lawer. I guess you know I driving very careful for a while.

I am sure that was extremely scary and upsetting. I am glad the woman was ok and very understanding.

Now to the dh part~~why do they always seem to get sidetracked at the worse times? It's like they have a hard time focusing on the task at hand.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! Disasters like that ALWAYS happen on Birthdays, I swear! My DH is like that too, gets very easily sidetracked on days when I need him to stick to the schedule!

On DD's 2nd birthday I went and got balloons at IParty, and I put her in the car with them. It was 99 degrees out. and then I closed the door and she got locked in!!! she almost passed out and had to call tow trucks and all that. so... I think its a birthday curse.

I hope everything went well for dds birthday after that!!

Wow...this is a real wake up call to me because sometimes, when I'm stressed and annoyed, I'm not always the most careful driver. I'm going to remember this in the future - what could happen when I'm driving!

What is it with men and their sense of time and priorities? I'm glad no one was hurt. What a tough day! Hope today is better!

I also caught him takeing a nap in the sun when he was supose to be picking up his tools from the front yard! ( No his tools arent usualy in the yard but he was working on a project) What is it with men, they have no sense of urgancy when youare the one that wants something done.

The party was good. It was very small as it was last minute but dd was very excited and she thinks she is rich now becuase she got 10 one dollar bills. 5 from sister and 5 from nana. She told me in her little 5 yrs old voice that she " preciated" everything I did for her. That made my heart smile.
