We went last summer.I second the naps and the snack bag. Also I picked up a container of powdered gatorade mix at walmart and put it in one of those divided baby formula containers. Then we just had to refill the water bottle and dump in the powder.
A good book for park info is the unofficaial guide to disney world. It covers more tan you'll ever want to know.

We went last May and the disboards.com were a godsend! Any and all the info. you can imagine about Disney you can find on their boards! I still go there everyday and read up in anticipation of our next trip. ( hopefully in Nov./Dec. of this year)
--Mousesavers.com and allears.net are also great sites.
--Tourguidemike.com is great for planning which days to go to which parks based on crowds. (Well worth the $20.00...my dh said he would have paid $100.00 for the great info we recieved from that site!!)
Also if you do a search here, of the Mommysavers boards you will find a few good threads on Disney World.
My best tips are to:
* Afternoon breaks are a must!!!.....We would leave the parks no later than 2:00 and come back around 5:00 We did not pay extra for park hoppers, instead we went to the same park in the am and then again to that park in the pm after our break. It made it easier to plan our days and didn't confuse the kids.
*Buy Brita filter water bottles on Ebay to take along and drink lots of water.
*take plenty of snacks and Kool-aid singles are great to add to free cups of ice water
* buy or pack breakfast food for the condo.( publix grocery store on 192 was great) We ate breakfast in our condo and then returned in the afternoon and ate a late lunch/early dinner in the condo(easy stuff like sandwiches, easy mac pizza) or off site( Giordanos' for pizza, chick-fil-a etc). We did eat onsite at 1 character dinner and snacked in between at the parks.
*We found that eating 5-6 lighter meals/more filling snacks through out the day helped us keep up our stamina in the heat and didn't make us feel bloated.
* Spray mister fans from Walmart are great and help to keep you cool and occupy the kids while walking around.
* Plan on a stroller for each of your younger kids, we took one for dd ( 3 1/2 y.o) and used the one from the condo for our just turned 6 y.o ( he really needed it) Not sure how big your 6 y.o. is but she could swap turns w/ the 4 y.o in one of the strollers.
* Take LOTS of pictures and give your girls each a disposable camera.
* Have fun!!!!

Hawkshoe, Can you get fast passes through the hotel before heading out for the day? I need to go get an updated book, sometimes. Everytime I visit the website I get overwelmed there is so much info. My travel agent did send me a list of all the restraunts I just dont know which ones to reserve. Worried we wont be there when were supposed to.
No, you have to get the fast pass at the ride. You can only get one at a time and cannot get another until the first one is used so plan wisely.

I have to say that I never understood the nap thing. We always hit the park early and stay until late often park hopping. We never went back for naps. If the kids were tired, they just napped in their strollers.

Another thing that many don't know is that you can get free glasses of water at any walk up counter. You could pack koolaid or other mix ins and get the free water to save yourself some money. (bottled water is not free only water in cups.)

If you buy a bottle o water in the park, and I normally bring a small cooler so I do not buy water often, but we buy one and share til it is gone. No sense buying everyone their own and having my 4 yr. old take 3 sips and complain an hour later it is too warm! Unless you are a germ fanatic...

I got the girls water bottles with fans at Wal Mart for under $4 each. They are about $16 in the parks.

All the websites mentioned are great. On the DisBoards there is a board for families.

If you leave one park and go to another save the stroller receipt and at the next park it is free. There are huge debates over taking your own vs. renting. The rental ones are hard plastic, but easy to push, seat 2. If you bring your own it has to be folded to get on the tram to the parking lot, at the end of the night with sleeping kids, folding it is a pain. We took our own once, but at the time had one child.

There is a baby center in every park. Magic Kingdom's is the nicest. There are rockers, microwave, big changing tables, family restroom, etc.

Do book a character meal. We have done breakfast in the castle which is very hard to get, the Princess Tea with Aurora, and breakfast with Mickey at Chef Mickeys.

Take some pennies and quarters to make pressed pennies, we put ours in an M&M tube, easy to carry.

I got my kids Disney Dollars at the Disney store. They knew once this money is gone, no more souveniers.

Get seats for the parade early. We'd sit, one of us would run for a snack. There is a guide for doing Disney with kids. You can probably get it from your library.

I carry a small backpack with our tickets, one water bottle, one snack to share, camera, and a small thing of wipes. Also the autograph books. Then I have a bag with the huge Ziplocs, and put a spare outfit, which will staydry in the strolller if it rains. There are lots of fountains to splash in! I also bring a few clear huge trash bags to cover the stroller should it rain.

We did Disney a few years ago when Hurricane Wilma blew through. We left that am, but the days prior it rained everyday. We had ponchos, water proof sandals, and kept going. The rain did not ruin our trip, but I was prepared for it.

PM me if you like. We've been 7 or 8 times!

I highly recommend the meal plan too! We went in Feb and had a blast. One of the greatest advantages of the meal plan is that you can eat just about anywhere, including Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney (huge hit with this movie buff family!) and use it for the character dining (make reservations up to 180 days in advance).

We booked our trip through smallworldvacations.com and they were very helpful!

Thanks everyone, I will keep logging on to read and plan on checking those sites, I heard the same thing about the meal plan, but when you are off site it is not offered, ans again we have a really good deal off site. I tried to book charact5er meal and A lot of them are booked, but we reserved 3 of them and plan to cancel 2 of them when we figure out what day we plan on going where. Anyone else reading this I reccommend planing that 6 months a head of time it you can, that is the soonest that you can book. Look forward to reading more, thanks!!

Rent a stroller. It is worth every penny and holds drinks & a ton of stuff. Don't forget to take raincoats/ponchos. We had to buy them down there & they are way too much $.

All the mentioned tips are great!

I need to visit the dis. boards, but does anyone know if they rent wagons? My boys are 3 and the other will be 6, so I cant see either one of them cooperating with a stroller!

I didn't see any wagons. The strollers are big, open & hard plastic. IMO they are better for older kids than younger ones. All of my kids took turns riding in it when they were tired. At the time they were 3,4,6 & 8. They are 5,6,8 and 10 and I'm going to get one again this summer. It was sturdy enough to hold my big ole butt during one of parades!
