here in this little town of mine you get the classifieds delivered separted from you weekly paper. the other day chris and I were talking about me starting home daycare again. i am not ready to do that yet.

Anyways I was looking in the employment and there in black and white was an add hiring at the local daycare. i called set up an appt this am for 1pm. I went down and had over an hour interview. I was hired on the spot, I can bring cj along and he will get on the bus there and then will be dropped off in the afternoons. I will be working a 7am -3pm shift in the infant room. Cj's time there is free unless I am gone to an appt. I am so thrilled and she has school age kids there as well and cj knows a couple of them. I will start Aug 21st. and the best part it is not manual labor (like at the envelope plant) and the daycare is air conditioned. The plant I have been working at is not and this past week when they called me back in was horrible. Ok so the pay is only $6.00/hour but I will have full benefits and a raise in 6 months plus paid holidays. Plus I will have 40 hours a week and free daycare for CJ and it is not a temp job like at the plant.

I am so excited - she just has to do the background check. Which I know I will pass - never had any problems before. Yeah for me. i am so thrilled I may take cj to Dairy Queen for a treat tonight.

Wonderful for you! But i must say it is truly as shame that we pay our day care workers so low!! Also teachers. These are people we trust with our most precious possession and we compensate them so poorly, jmo!
