im going out of town tommrrow . me and my daughter ( 9) are flying to chicago to see my sister who lives there . then on friday we are doing an 8 hour drive to duluth mn to see my mom - havent been back there in 6 yrs. im just not a minnesota girl and wasnt happy living there .

the sad thing about all of this is my mom hasnt seen my daughter since she was 1 and this is her only grandkid. but my mom hates to travel and its too hard for me to take my daughter and go there. well i only have 4 days with mom then we are driving back to chicago and i fly back on the 9th. kind of a short trip but my sister couldnt get many days off but i figure something is better then nothing. and i get to show my daughter where i grew up and shes now old enough to understand and enjoy it

im going to try to check in while im gone but i dont know how well my sister will get a connection on her laptop.

Have a WONDERFUL time! I'm sure Dd will get a kick out of seeing where you grew up and seeing her Grandma!!!
