What do you call your mom? I ask because the post about calling each other mom/dad got me thinking what do you call your parents?

I know a lot of people start calling their parents grandma/grandpa after the kids are born. And especially once they start using those names. I will call my parents mom and dad...that's all I've ever called them and so it will just continue.

However, we already call dh's mom grandma Nancy. That's what all her grandkids call her and her kids also. I try to just say Nancy but when our youngest neice is with me I find myself calling her grandma nancy and it bugs the heck out of me.

Just wondering what everyone else thought.

I still call my parents Mom and Dad and my In-Law's by their first names. If I am speaking to my child about one of their grandparents then I use whatever they call them (Mom Mom & Pop Pop,and Grandma & Grandpa) but I can't see myself in a conversation with my parents and callling them anything but Mom or Dad.

My Mom is Mom and my Dad is Daddy. If referring to them around my kids I do call them by Gi-Mo and PawPaw so they know who I'm talking about, but I couldn't ever imagine not calling my Dad "Daddy" (not that I am a Daddy's girl or anything )

How I addressed them didn't change after I became a Mom...I can't see myself calling my Mom "Grandma". She's not my grandma...kwim? I call her "Mom" just as I always have. My kids call her "Grandma".

I still usually say mom and dad unless the kiddos are around and then it is GiGi and BoBo. Andy's mom and dad I usually call them by their name or they are Ma and Paw in front of the kids.
