Hi everyone,
My husband is working for the oilfield now. His clothes are filled with oil and grease. I bleach the whites, it doesn't even look like I have washed them. ANyone know something good to use on all of his clothes?

Thank you.

Have you tried Oxiclean?
Maybe even a little simple green in the wash??

Hmmm...well are you sure it's okay to wash them in your washer and dryer? My washer has a big warning on it about washing clothes with oil (any kind) on them and drying them in the dryer (can cause fires).

No, I haven't washed them in our washer and dryer, take it to the laundry mat. I haven't tried much but belach for colors.

My husband is on a rig too--we put them in the front loaders at the laundrey mat and use vinegar, detergent and sometimes I put in some oxiclean--and they don't have to be perfect --hes just gonna get them dirty again , DH says to tell you that the cleanest they will be is a grey color probably anyway-- The vinegar is good to get out the grease and ground dirt too.

I know Dawn (dishwashing liquid) is good for grease stains. If it's already gone through the dryer then I don't know if it'll come out.

I use some of my DH hand cleaner on the spots first (I forget the brand, he uses it when he gets greasy hands from working on cars), rinse it and then I pretreat with Tide (rub it in)- use the hottest temp you can possibly use and if it is still bad- rewash. It does not come out entirely- but for the most part looks a lot better! HTH!

Has anyone ever heard of Shaklee. They have some great laundry products that work wonders on stains and the cleaning products are all organic. the one cleaner is the Basic I (Basic Industrial) it works great on dirt, and grease. Also, Nature Bright works wonders on whites(better than bleach and no fumes) I have never had a cleaner work so well on our clothes. They are concentrated so you get more cleaner for your buck. So you get organic and you save money!!!
