Some of you know that my dh is an accountant. I am a pretty supportive wife during his long hours for most of the time. However, this week things are HORRIBLE. I'm reaching my breaking point. I'm tired of single-parenting. My kids are getting on my nerves. I am short with them. I'm crabby. I just want to take a bath (by myself) or have 10 minutes alone!!

I know there is only one week left, and compared to single moms or military moms with dh deployed I have nothing to complain about. But still, I am feeling really sorry for myself! Just looking for someone to cheer me up, I guess!

Awww, you poor thing. I can relate. My dh works some long hours at times too, or is out of town for a day or two every so often, and I get the same way. I hear you, we have nothing to complain about....but 24/7 with the kids alone gets tough even for us!!

Big Hugs for you!! Cheer up!!

Does DH give you a day to treat yourself when the season is over?

Single Parenting is tough I feel sorry for anyone who has to do it regardless if it's a few days or years - it still sucks!

I do get time to myself occasionally, thanks to friends and family. I think it has been a week and a half now since I've had time without kids... it's beginning to wear me down!

It IS almost over. Try to take a teeny weeny little time after the kids go to bed. And I agree - try to see if you can get a massage or something to help you through - something to look forward to!

I can totally identify. I don't even remember the last time I was by myself with no kids...I always have at least one of them with me. I believe it was about six weeks ago when I went to a girls' night out at a friend's house...and some of the other girls brought THEIR kids, so I still wasn't without kids. Talk about frustrating!!!!!

Dh isn't an accountant (Lord, I wish he was, at least he'd have a decent job!!), but he IS trying to get his own business off the ground and he puts in alot of time at that. It's EXTREMELY frustrating!!

Oh Kim, I can so relate!!! For me though, its POOL Water season!!! My dh works his regular 40 hr/wk. job then goes straight out to help his buddy deliver pool water, he is usually gone from 5:30am till 9:00pm m-f and 8:00am till 8:00pm on the weekends, all spring till all the pools in our area are full, and if one of the trucks breaks down he could be gone even longer!!! grrr!! The season kicks off about the last week of April and goes full throttle till mid July!!!! I am totally a single parent during that time and it makes me crazy!!

BTW, he works all these hours and makes all this extra $$$ so he can buy tractor parts for his pullin' tractors, that he's usually to busy to pull.
I think he's nuts!!!
