I am always very leary about doing stuff like this at home. Since this is your first time, I would find the gentlest, mildest one you can find. If at any time it stings, burns, etc....take it off. You might even want to try a patch test on a small place on your skin first before you put in on your face.

I am interested to know which one you choose and how it works. Keep us posted.

I've used lots of different things. Which type are you referring to. Can you provide a brand name?

I use a microdermabrasion set and have been very pleased with it. My skin feels softer and smoother afterwards. Is this similar to the face peal you are referring to?

im not sure which brand. i just feel that i need somthing extra to my normal everyday wash...something that i can do at home and i seen one the cvs ad about this peel. i went and checked it out but it was for acne marks, clearing up acne...i get like one break out every once in a while...i was more looking for like to get away dry skin, blackheads(gross i know), etc...just so i can have a better looking facial skin....maybe a peel isnt what i should be looking for...i just thought that it might work...thanks gals.

A good natural mask which produces great results is a teaspoon of honey with a teaspoon of milk. Mix together until the honey is blended with the milk and smooth on your face. Let sit 10 minutes and rinse. Don't wash your face after. It clears up acne, smooths your face and makes it a little brighter. It also helps for dry skin, because the milk is a moisturizer. I've told many of my friends about this and they all swear by it! If you try it, you will probably get best results doing it at least every other night, for a week, then you can cut back to 1-2 times a week, if you want. It smells like Honey Nut Cheerios and kind of tastes like it, too. :D

A few months ago I bought the Neutrogena microdermabrasion kit. it has a sponge electric vibrating applicator and cream w/crystals in it to abrade. I have sensitive skin. It did work well. For me, two times a week is enough - you can try it every night or every other night at first to see if your skin can take it. I think it was around $29 at Target. Be sure you use sunscreen on that new skin.
