I hope you find something and QUICK! I have two boys just 17 months apart and the new friends I have met with them have been such a lifesaver!

Like you, most of my "Pre" Kid friends are on the backburner right now, but I met a few different groups of ladies with children my age when the boys were smaller & it was really the best thing that happened to me.
WOW, you have received some great suggestions for finding that group. Let me just tell you that it won't always feel like the best fit at first, but give it a few tries & you may be surprised. At first, none of my friends seemed right to me, I think I was a bit self concious and worried they wouldn't like me, but when I gave it a full "dive right in" chance, I gave myself & the boys the best gift!
If you don't find a totally free group, don't be afraid to "splurge" on a small fee just to give yourself the chance. With both of my boys, I took a baby & Mommy yoga class. 3 years later, those kids are still their best friends!

Go get em girl!!!!!

Thanks to all of you for such a great response. I have a playdate lined up for this week. I found the there is a *NEW* ECFE class starting this Fall that is for multiple ages (0-4) so both boys can go to the same class. They're 1 and 2 but just 15 1/2 months apart and there wasn't a class for both of them until now. There's also a playtime that is for a couple hours a week for 0-3 yr olds that will only cost $3.00. I am a part of yahoo group that is very active....I forgot to mention that before! That has been a lifesaver. I checked out the sites that were mentioned. Our Church is small and there are only about 6 kids (2 are my nieces) and 2 of the other ones we plan to get together with this summer as their mom is a teacher. I recently heard that Barnes and Noble has a storytime so I'll have to check that out.

So....THANKS!!! I'll be sure to get out and about and meet some new people! Thanks for all of your suggestions! It's truly appreciated!
