I survived the 5 hr flight from NJ to AZ with my 5 yo and 15mo dd's.
And then survived the drive up to Vegas at 4 1/2 hrs through the Hoover Dam
which was really awesome. Made it through the weekend in Vegas at the races
but ended up with a fever, chills, body aches on Sat afternoon which ended
walking the strip, but we drove it anyway and it was cool.
Had a great time in AZ only to come home to our 15 yo dog in the hospital with some liver issues and her legs not functioning and she seeming drunk-like. The kennel brought her to the animal hospital and luckily we did get to bring her home last night. We are just very
unsatisfied with their service. I never got to talk to a dr. about what was wrong,
I am only assuming it was an infection of some sort treated by antibiotics. They did
some chiro adjustments and acupuncture for her legs and the swelling and she
was back to eating just fine, I guess that's why they sent her home. So the bill was
$285 and then they kept us waiting for an hour to get her after we arrived at 8pm
with our 2 kids. The kicker was finally when they said they misbilled us and we owed
another $250. My dh flipped and upon review of our "case" they were double billing us.
We would have had NO CLUE!!!
So now she's home and she can barely walk, she deep sleeps and pees all over.
The kids are still cranky from the time change, I'm still sick, now it's mainly mucus and a very sore throat (I did get some antibiotics finally), dh has to work all weekend and it's my birthday and we are supposed to go out to dinner tonight, but his boss won't let him or anyone leave until they are done. So I guess this turned into a poor me post, Sorry!!!

Well happy birthday, girl! LOL I am sorry your doggie is sick and your vet is messing with you. I am sorry you are sick. I am sick too and it sucks. Moms still have to work so hard when they are sick and you should be pampered on your birthday! Skip the dinner and celebrate in a couple of days when you feel better. Take care of yourself!

Shabin, I'm sorry about all of this.

Please record the dog's symptoms while it's fresh and make a list of all food he's had, in case it's part of this recall debacle - new foods are popping up almost every day.
