OMG. How funny. We were in Build-A-Bear today for ds' 7th birthday and I pointed out an outfit for a Luau to my son - Grass skirt and coconut bra.
Later, in the car, my dh mentioned they had it. My son said, "You mean the one with the coconuts on the breasts?"
After we recovered, we discussed why he shouldn't use that term. I made an example that it is very rude to comment to someone on their breasts. "But mommy, that's what they are." My dh doesn't edit himself and if I'm in any state of undress he says, "Nice breasts." DS brought that up. I stated that if he told his best friend, who is a girl, or any other girl they had nice breasts, it would be very rude. How would he feel if they said, "Nice penee (current word for penis)". His response, after laughing hilariously at it, "I woudn't mind." Yeah, most men don't. We had to tell him that only mommies and daddies can say that to each other.
