You have to apply the Nystatin at least 3-4 times a day for 10 days, then I put the diaper ointment over the top, to kind of hold the Nystatin in place. It worked so well! WAY better than the fancy stuff the hospital tried using to clear up her rashes. Hope her bottom feels better soon!

Good luck with the swallow study, and the weight gain! BIG Hugs It's about time they start getting to the bottom of things!

Thank you for the suggestion on the Burt's Bees diaper cream. We are using the Nystatin now and I have the paste stuff from the hospital I put over that. we have a whole regimen ( mineral oil and cotton balls to wipe, Nystatin, paste stuff, and stomahesive ) although I have a prescription to pick up for "poop goop" which I loved and it worked wonders the one time she was at the hospital in Shakopee. We are at the point of it bleeding now....I just hate it, hurts me to think of how it must feel for her.

I am going to Target tommorrow to get the diaper cream and the lactobacillus!
How are your girls doing?

Yup, we tried the Lantisceptic and stomahesive too. Did not work for Lily. I could not believe how well the Burt's Bees cleared it up! Neither could the homecare nurses. Many of them recommended it to others after that! I hope it works for you guys!!!

My girls are doing well, getting over colds again. I'm actually still a bit stuffy, but better than last week. I'm giving a talk at the college I went to in NE later this week. I ran into an old friend from HS who's now a professor of OB nursing at the college we both went to. She asked if I would come in and speak to her class about my experiences. SO, right now I'm working on my talk. I've been writing it out word-for-word, in an effort to make it all fresh in my memory again. So far, I've written 12 pages, and the twins aren't even born yet! But, I'm supposed to talk for an hour, so hopefully I'll have enough time to cover it all. Oh YIKES! I'm just not a good public speaker! Just thinking about it makes my knees shake!

Anyway, take care of yourself too! Try to get your rest, and call me if you need anything! Hugs

We are still putting Lily in our prayers here too! We were given the Burt's Bees diaper cream for a shower gift and it is FANTASTIC!! Bryce has never had a bad rash because we put that on at the first sign and it just goes away. Of course, he has not been on all the meds. ect. that Lily has but I sure hope it can help her too. She does not need a sore bum when she is trying to get better!!

If you can't find the lactobacillus or burts bees, let me know... I have some places you could look.
