Hello again! We are still at home and she is getting better, well was getting better! She was not coughing anymore and now yesteray she started getting a runny nose and sneezing ( which is always how it starts ). She had a follow up check yersterday so they opted to add another 10 day course of an antibiotic. My poor girl is on her daily antiobiotic that she has been on since Nov. plus this one now will be for 20 days and she has the worst yeast diaper rash. It hurts me just to look at it!
Anyways her doc has decided to go against what her infectious disease doc has said and ordered a swallow study. We started solid foods and she got bronchitis so she wants to make sure she is not aspirating ( this can cause pneumonia, bronchitis ). SO she has me not feeding her solid food until she has the test done or limit to once a day feeding.

And she gained 3 oz back ( she had lost 4 or 5 oz in 2 days ) I think she is now at 14lbs 2oz so not quite double her birth weight yet but it is progress and growth!

I am sending prayers up for your little girl. It sounds like she has been through quite a lot. Being a parent it is so hard seeing your little ones suffer & be sick. I pray that they find out what all is causing her problems & that she will be able to start on solid food soon. Congratulations on the 3 oz gained back!

Poor little Lily has been through so much! Hopefully she gets well soon! Have you tried lactobacillus (we get the Culturelle brand) to help replace the healthy flora into her gut? I know my Lily has had some NASTY diaper rashes too (open, bleeding) from some of her meds. Nystatin and Burt's Bees diaper cream worked soooo well for us! You have to apply the Nystatin at least 3-4 times a day for 10 days, then I put the diaper ointment over the top, to kind of hold the Nystatin in place. It worked so well! WAY better than the fancy stuff the hospital tried using to clear up her rashes. Hope her bottom feels better soon!

Good luck with the swallow study, and the weight gain! BIG Hugs It's about time they start getting to the bottom of things!
