Six years ago this month, in honor of my mother, I ran in the Run for the Cure. Today I ran again for the first time since. I improved my time by 2 1/2 minutes....CRAZY! I ran the 5K in 27.38 minutes. I am so proud of myself. I had a great cross wind and great tail wind most of the race and thank you for the downhill finish!!!

Here is the proof! And yes, I did have some people approach me about the T-shirt!!! I AM GOING TO WIN THIS CONTEST (maybe) !!!

OH and just a side note: I did not walk or slow down my pace. I kept three girls in my sights the entire race. They were running just in front of me but got way ahead with 1/2 a mile left. That is ok, they are obviously better trained at running than I, but my goal was to not let anyone (female) between me and them and I made that happen!!!

I laughed so loud my kids and Dh came to see. You're one smart cookie!!! Congrats by the way!

Thanks Ladies! I am still on a high about it. I think because I have worked so hard at setting small goals for myself. The encouragement is awesome. I may just run another one next weekend! (yeah right!!)
