I just gave them to her, and she looked very happy. Her little girl was just beaming... I said they were from her children and I was just the delivery person.

I will join you. I haven't spoken to my father in over 1 1/2 years ever since his wife decided to try and use me as a punching bag when I defended my mother.

You are not alone. I also do not have a relationship with my mother. she is only happen when I am miserable so for that reason i have not relationship with her. I do not call her.. shes the ring leader of craziness.. holidays in general are hard as i dont spreak to any of my family... its tough ...

I too have no relationship with my mother. It's been an off and on process with her that I finally gave up on. The woman is crazy and I have finally found that I don't need a relationship with her. Sometimes it's better without her, and I have to come to terms with that. So I understand where you are coming from.

Could not have written it better myself. It's sad - but it's true. I pray every day that my relationship with dd is different!
