Hi. I have a question for y'all. I am planning to take my sons to get there haircut at Supercuts this week. I usually just cut there hair with buzzers, but they both wanted to have a more sylish do. Anyway they are going to charge $15 for my 11 year old and $13 for my 7 year old. A total of $28....ouch!!!! My question is, do I need to tip and how much?

Thanks

Yes, definately tip...I think the norm for salon services is 20%. On $28 - 20% would be $5.60. I personally usually tip 20-25% (or more if I'm really pleased or somebody went to extra effort for me).

Yes, tip. For your boys, since it is such a simple cut (& quick) I would tip 2-3 dollars per child. HTH.

Wow! You live in Salinas. I have known that town for over 30 years. My grandmother lived there. As a matter of fact, my grandmother, grandfather, mother and dad are all buried in the cemetary on the hill just outside of town. I believe I have a cousin that still lives there. My eldest sister lives in Watsonville (in the hills, not in town). I was through Salinas last August when my Aunt went to CA to visit. We spent the day in Carmel and stopped at Northgate Mall on the way back. That town has grown so much! It's practically a bedroom community to San Jose now.

I usually do $2 per kid, especially if the person is good with the boys.

I usually tip $2-3 per child.

You might want to check out their website--maybe they have coupons? That could help off-set the cost?

Good to "see" you! It's been awhile! And, I agree with 15-20%. It does get spendy though. I normally trim my dd's hair at home too!
