Saw this on craigslist. This company from the UK wants to sell stuff and have the buyers pay me and have the money clear in my bank faster than it would to them and I just have to keep 10% and then Western Union them the rest. There is an application, it doesn't cost me anything, they just have to trust me to forward them their share I guess. It's saying it could be $700/week! I asked for the application which just asks for name/address/phone/nationality/marital status/age/gender and it asks for a valid ID.
Is there a catch? It would be AWESOME, but you know the saying, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."
Well at least I got a babysitting job for a 2 yo boy 2 days/week, that helps me alot!!

I dont know if I would trust that. It kind of sounds like one of those nigerian money schemes where it sounds like a safe bet but through some international banking loopholes or whatever, they scam you.

Think of it this way: wouldn't it just be easier for the business to open an account here?

Good luck.

It sounds like they might be trying to get out of paying taxes/fees/etc. by using individual sellers. I would be worried that it would be YOU who got in trouble with the IRS!

Why would a company want an individual to do that if it was legitimate? Makes absolutley no sense. Stick with the babysitting!

This is what is called a "phishing" scam, they want your bank acct. info and they withdraw ALL of your money, the application will probably ask for your SS #, DO NOT give these people any personal info!!!! Please!!!!! They are Crooks!!!!

My dh posted some tractor tires for sale on a "Tractor Pulling" website in their classified section, and you have to put your e-mail so they can contact you, well the 1st guy that contacted us was legit, but the 4-5 morons that have e-mailed us since are offering the same type of deal that you're talking about!! The one guy said that he would have "an associate" of his deposit $5,000.00 into our acct. and that bacically we should send him back whats left after the cost of the tires and the shipping, yeah right dude!!!

Please don't fall for this!!!!

So the application asks for "just" -
name/address/phone/nationality/marital status/age/gender and it asks for a valid ID.

Sounds like everything they need to steal your identity.
