I don't think you would really get the full 20k, Uncle Sam would get his share of course! My only concern would be how are you and your family portrayed, these type of shows thrive on creating drama sometimes at the expense of your name and reputations. "creative editing" might paint you and your spouse in a not so bright light, know what i mean??? I'm not saying "DONT" do it, i'm just saying think of the whole picture and not just the money part.

I also was wondering what race oriented meant? I think it would be cool but I would be leary because it seems they always put together couples they know arent gonna get along.

I say do it. Just make to sure to ask all the questions you have and get everything in writing before agreeing to do anything. But if you live the way the rest of us live...paycheck to paycheck.......DO IT!!!

I agree that I would think very hard about what it might mean to your family to be shown in a light that you may not have control over... the money is fabulous but think about the "other costs"..... It could be a fantastic experience but only if you and dh are both really on board with the idea.. Congrats on being asked!

I think she means race, like Nascar, but not by them. They had approached my dh's company at one point wondering if any employees would be interested.
