Ok, I yo-yo with my weight. I can't seem to stay on track to save my life, literally, as my BMI is climbing into unknown territory!! I feel that when I'm really exercising hard, watching what I eat, that everything else is under control too, including debt, money management, etc. But right now, I'm chunky, eating whatever I want (overeating badly for no apparant reason), and not keeping my books so perfectly. What is up with that??? Also, my house is a mess! Can anyone tell me why I do this to myself, budget, and my home? Why do I yo-yo??

I can't tell you why but I can tell you that you are not alone. I feel like I'm either in control of every facet or I'm not. These days I'm not. I'm hoping with the summer ahead of me, that I'll be able to spend some time at home working on my housekeeping and book keeping. And dragging my kids to my Jazzercise class! May has been a rough month for me. I had so many obligations at both my kids schools. I'll be glad to settle into a more laid back routine!

And the eating...I don't even want to talk about that! I was so busy last month, we lived out of the crockpot (which got old!) and eating out (which was BAD!). So I'm going to sit down today and menu plan for next week and do my shopping. I'm hoping that by staying home a lot, we'll eat better!

You're not alone! And I'm glad I'm not either...

This is an interesting question. It would be interesting to find someone who does those debt-consolodation loans or a bankruptcy lawyer to ask their opinion on their average client.

Well, I have always had trouble with my weight, but NEVER have had trouble with debt - even when I didn't have any money in my 20s. When I am doing well with my diet, exercise, etc. I do notice that other areas of my life are better organized or just better in general. Mine isn't usually debt as much as organization and a clean house.

So, there might be a correlation between weight and happiness, weight and clean house/organization in life, or weight and debt issues, but to say one thing I think wouldn't make sense. It would just depend on the person and their weaknesses. My house is far from a pig sty, but it isn't a Southern Living home either.

I think so many things that upset us just affect so many other things whether it is debt, how we dress, how we look at the world, etc.

Guess it probably just depends on your mood. Just motivate yourself to get going and do things. Make it a routine to clean house and take care of yourself.
