Is it a blessing or a curse? I mean, I will be able to walk or ride my bike to Target, but then again, I will be so close, I will go too often. I love Target and end up spending money every time I go. Does anyone have a Super Target near them? This will be the first in our area. Do you buy your groceries there? They just started leveling the land, so it will be a while before it's open, but I'm pretty excited. :happy dance:

Lucky you - wish I had a Super Target or Walmart where I live. (and yes you will be able to buy groceries there)

I too live across the street from a regular Target, well its a major shopping center. From a Safeway grocery store to Cold Stone ice cream, to a Payless shoes & more. I have it all.

I dont go too often at all.

I have Super Target and buy the majority of my groceries there.

Kohl's on the other hand is right outside of my subdivision, and I can walk there. I used to think I'd be there all the time too, but the novelty wore off, and I'm not.

If Super Target is within walking distance for you, it may be a good thing. You won't be able to carry as many items home, so you might not overspend! You're also getting exercise while you do it!

There is one right by my kid's preschool - the new ones are really really nice, and I go often, but if you are a cheap-o like me, you will find that frequent Target shopping rewards you with great clearance shopping. Mine marks stuff down on weekday mornings, so I have had first pick - like the day they were marking tons of stationary, arts/crafts supplies, scrapbook papers and tons more. I also walked in one morning when they were marking the World Market stuff down to 75% off and I got a great end table for $25 and some unbelievable art for one of my undecorated rooms. Another great deal for shopping there a lot is when they are changing out their dollar section every few months and mark stuff 75% off - so everything is a quarter. I got a ton of gift bags one day - how cheap is that. Be sure and go every day or so after Christmas, because when they mark the toys 75% off, you can stock up for birthdays for the whole year. I got princess dresses last year for $4 each.

As for groceries - some stuff is the same price as my regular grocery store. A few things are more expensive - like meat. I haven't been disappointed in any Target-brand stuff. They have Target brand organic milk that is cheaper than my grocery or even Costco. I am also picky about fabric softner and I like the liquid Target brand.

"my" Super-Target is so nice I can not set foot in Walmart anymore - it's disgusting. Plus, if you are in walking distance - you can go when it is almost empty and shop by yourself! Fun!

We lived about 1/2 mile from a SuperTarget until we moved. It was both a blessing AND a curse Great for last minute items you forgot....but also great for buying too many clearance items!!

I did all my shopping at Target ~ Grocery and miscellaneous.

Well, I'm so excited about it. After the mall that the Super Target is going into is built, we will have our bank, grocery stores (2), drug store, tons of clothes stores, a hardware store, medical offices, tons of restuarants, the movie theater and tons of other things within walking distance. Oh, and the best part is that they are adding a branch of our library into the mall!!! I guess the reason I'm so excited about it is that when we first bought our house 6 1/2 years ago, they had just built the theater, a couple of restaurants and a gas station, but there was nothing close to us, other than those. All of the sudden, we won't have to get into a car for anything anymore, except for me to go to school (30 miles away). I've never lived so close to so much in my life! I grew up a country girl.

I love living in our small city. I have grocery stores, 2 malls, parks, Target, Kohls, Super Walmart and just about everything else 1-2 miles away. I could walk to one of the malls if I wanted to it is just 1 mile away.

I have a new Super Target near me and you can buy just about everything there. It also has inside it a Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Cold Stone Creamery. I love it!
