Ok I'm stumped! I have a Lexmark scanner/copier/fax machine and it isn't printing. I have plenty of color and black ink. I have cleaned the heads, realigned, ran it through every troubleshooting test I can imagine and it still won't print! The paper comes through and I can hear the heads going back and forth as if it is printing, but the finished product comes out like a nearly invisible dot to dot photo of what I tried to print. Any suggestions?

I wish I could help, because that has happened on my Epson - there was actually a lawsuit.
I would replace the ink and see - maybe it just got clogged. Check w/ the mfr. online, also.

take a q-tip, dip it in rubbing alcohol and clean the bottom of the ink cartridge. The ink may have dried up.

Ok I did that, and it semi-worked for one print then started acting crazy again. I think I'll just have to buy new print cartridges. It hadn't been used in awhile, but I assumed once it started flowing all would be fine.

Are you using the no-name brand ink cartridges or refilled ones? Sometimes those will completely ruin the print head. I had to buy a new printer because of that.

Nope, I'm actually using the Lexmark brand, and I haven't refilled them at all. I had a bad experience with that one time on an old printer of mint.
