I'm just hopping on here long enough today to post that I am SO GLAD to have found Mommy Savers!!! Then, I'm going to get back to my decluttering and organizing today!! (I know I've said this before, but I'm saying it again... )

The biggest impact that this site has had on me has been in the area of...MOTIVATION!!!
I've been in such a "funk" for the past 2 years, since my parents passed away, that I've really let my house, myself, and my relationships go. NO MORE! Thanks to the inspiration I get from reading about all of YOUR challenges and triumphs...I am turning over a new leaf! And it's all because of the inspriation I have gained through Mommy Savers, and a certain post that reminded me that life's too short to live it the way I have been.

With all the information, tips, and strategies that have been posted in the many threads here on MS, I have learned SO MUCH, and gained such a WEALTH of knowledge in MANY areas in the short time I've been a member here. The most helpful to me have been posts related to decluttering, organizing, simplifying my life, saving money, frugal living, and being a better parent.

I just wanted to send out a special THANK YOU to all Mommy Savers for the way in which you have changed my life! Many of you may not realize it, but through your posts you are TRUE motivators for me, as well as (I'm sure) MANY OTHERS on this site, and I just wanted you to know, from the bottom of my heart, how much that means to me and my family!! ( Okay, now I'm all "vaclempt"!! (sp) )

Once I get most of the "junk" cleared out of my house, I will be joining all of you who do "Daily Challenges"! I can hardly WAIT, so wish me luck that I can join in SOON!! ...and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, again!!

Mommy Savers RULES!!

Funny you ask.... I posted this earlier in the Mod section...

Mailbox Blessings

When most people go to their mailbox everyday, they are bombarded with bills, fliers, and junk. Last night however, my mailbox had a secret, a blessing, and a restored faith in God, family and friends. It's not everyday that people, just like you and me, will so lovingly, and sincerely go out of their way to make someone else's life easier, or just manageable. In todays world it's a Dog eat Dog world. Rarely do you have acts of kindness come about, much less 5 of them. My heart ached with pride for this group we call Mommy Savers, my eyes teared from gratefulness, and love, and my whole body filled with emotion. The paying it forward contest is nothing compared to the genuine care that I have seen in the past 48 hours. I am PROUD to be a part of a group where people are so unselfish, so loving, and so understanding. TODAY, Friday May 25 2007, I KNOW in my heart that God still works miracles, and I believe that THIS is his way of restoring my faith. He brought me down so that I had no choice but to look up to him because when you're at the bottom you can ONLY look up. You know who you are, and I want to thank you for taking the time to reach out your hand and say "Here Andrea, let me help you back up." And then took the time to help brush me off.
God bless all of you, all of Mommy Savers, and God bless those "angels" who felt the need to pull me out of that hole and help me stand again on my feet. You guys are the greatest friends I have have ever known, yet never met.

I was going to try and come up with something about how I have found friends and support and how much it means to me to come here each day to check in with everyone but I think Andrea blew away any kind of answer I could have. Wow. That was a truely warm & fuzzy, inspiring post if I ever read one.

My computer's wallpaper says it all..."I love my computer because my friends live in it!" Not only am I a SAHM, but I am pretty much homebound with 3 little boys including one with a lot of medical needs. I also homeschool. This puts me in a position of very little adult contact. I love the fact that I can log on Mommysavers and see that I am not alone in the world. I can log on 24 hours a day and read a thread that I could have written myself. Not only have I gotten great money saving tips and awesome recipes, but I have found out I am not the only mom in the world ready to pull her hair out on a daily basis. I have found humor, compassion, advice and occasionally a really good virtual hug. Logging on to Mommysavers is like walking into a room filled with all of my long distance friends.

I can actually say that I know what it like to have to live without Mommysavers. It was a horrible, horrible day when I was accidentally blocked! I am so happy the issue was resolved and I have been able to be on here every day since then. I think I would lose my mind if I ever had to give up Mommysavers again!

I can say Mommysavers HAS changed my life...It has certainly helped me save money (I am on here instead of shopping, aren't I?) No really, I learned more about coupons than I ever thought I could, more about saving money around the house, I have shared in so many lives in so many ways it is impossible to acknowledge them all.

I have made some truly awesome friends and for that I will always be grateful to Mommysavers.

I am glad I joined this group of wonderful ladies! YOu all are truly an inspiration for me & I love visiting this site. This is where I come when I'm down in the dumps even though I don't post about that often. Sometimes I'm too embarrased to discuss my life. I know others do. I don't want anyone thinking anything bad about me. But I want to say thanks again to all of you.
