I've been having some troubles lately,, but mainly I've just felt so 'OLD' and didn't think I SHOULD yet. I'm SO tired all the time,, no 'get up and go' for ANYTHING, not even fun stuff really. Sleep 10 hours or MORE and STILL be sleepy and grumpy.
Well,, doc just called and we have a REASON. I'm 'severely anemic'. We aren't positive WHY, but at least I know I"m not just LAZY or OLD before my time LOL I actually feel relieved to know that something is 'there' to 'fix'

I get severely anemic when I'm pregnant, and I know how you feel. I took Ferrosequels and they helped me out a lot, but they cause constipation, too. Then I swithed to Melaleuca's vitamins and my iron levels came all the way up to the lower side of "normal". Good luck with it! I know how tired you can be and I hope you can figure out what's causing it.

I have been dangeriously anemic all my life, It almost killed me when I was little,I learned to like liver a lot! That is a quick way to up your iron level, But this is how you cook it, first put the liver in a bowl and cover it with milk, let it soak in the fridge for a couple hours, it takes out all the Gamey taste and smell, then just coat it with breadcrumbs and fry it. I made it all the time and my kids never knew they were eating liver..
I am sure your doctor will also put you on some strong Iron suplement as well.

I'll have to try that way to encourage my girls and HUBBY to eat it. I'm actually a lucky one in that I LOVE liver and onions,, and love chicken livers! heheh,, do NOT like the way the house smells after, but I LOVE eatin' that stuff.. *i was also the kid that everyone made fun of in the elementary cafeteria cause I love spinach* hehe

Its really good that way, you can cook it however you like it, but by soaking it in the milk it pulls out all the YUCK smell and taste from the liver then just pour off the milk in the sink..
My mom had the same anemic problem but back in her day they did not have the pills, she had to actually put the raw liver in a glass of milk and drink it to get iron!!! OOOOH YUCK!!!!
Arent we lucky, we have pills to take!!
