Casa Bonita in Denver...ICK! Talk about a smelly, humid, nasty tasting food waste of time, drive and money! Even the ketchup tasted wrong. Lucky for me, there was a visible dead bug in my food before I went too far....I will never go there again. :hurl: :hurl: :hurl: I can't express how gross that place is.

Hands down, it's Applebee's. They used to be good 15 or 20 years ago, but they have really gone down hill. Everything there is microwaved and it shows.

We absolutely can't stand The Cheesecake Factory. Very over priced, no kids menu and wasn't very kid friendly when we were there, we didn't care for the food either.
I agree about Applebee's. I love PF Chang's though, although I only get carry out there.
I can honestly say that the McDonalds in our town is BY FAR the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my LIFE! Even though I live only 5 blocks from it, I will drive twice as far to the Burger King or someplace else. We usually get drive through, and the last SEVERAL times I've bought food there I'll get home and be ASTOUNDED at the food they'll send out!! Although I TRY not to be a confrontational person, once I actually got BACK IN THE CAR and drove BACK THERE just to show the manager what his cooks are putting out! He gave me my money back, replaced everything I ordered, AND gave me a shake (that I didn't order) to boot! I'm not talking about hamburgers that looks "messy"...I'm talking about burgers that look like they'd actually been assembled by a BLIND PERSON or a 2 YEAR OLD! Patties MORE THAN halfway OFF the bun, ketchup ON TOP OF the bun...and that doesn't even include that the order is usually WRONG anyways. For a chain restaurant, you'd think they'd have higher standards. But unfortunately, the kids that work there just don't care.

I totally agree about McDonalds. They just don't care about standards anymore. I went out with DS and my Mom to one once. I ordered a chicken sandwich and there was a LONG BLONDe HAIR sticking out of it. Luckily I saw it before I took a bite, I pulled it and it was like two feet long!! SO NASTY!! We took it up front and talked to the manager, the cook with a long blonde ponytail came up to ask if it was one of hers (all calm-like, like it was no big deal). All the manager told us was that they AREN'T REQUIRED to wear hairnets. I took my money and left, I will never go back to one, ever. My stomach does flip flops everytime I even hear McDonalds.

I agree Applebee's is horrible. Bad food and bad service, at least where I live. Plus I can't get the picture of the lizard head in the ladies salad in Iowa City out of my head. YUCK! They figured out it had hitched a ride in a head of lettuce and got chopped up when they chopped the lettuce. No one got sick, but just the thought makes me gag.
