I wish I could call dh at work! He does sheet metal so he is always on a job site and only has a company nextel right now. This is probably a good thing though b/c I would most likely call him way too much.

I very rarely call him--he works on a drilling rig--if I drive to Ft. Smith to shop I might call him and tell him I am there if he wants me to pick him up and go eat--but thats very rare.
When we first got married he called me all the time at my lunch --when I worked or texted me, now --and its only been 3 yrs----he could care less about speaking to me--

DH is in & out of the store all night and in his car the majority of the time. He signs on AIM on his cell and we message back and forth all night. Me a lot more than him though. If we didn't, we'd hardly have time to talk to each other with him working till 2am at the earliest.

Matthew has a cell that I can call anytime, but I don't call him all that much. His schedule is hectic at work frequently, so I don't want to put him behind. He does call me every evening to let me know what time he will probably get home or if he happens to have a few spare minutes.

Usually about 2 times a day. Usually I will can him or he will call me around his lunch time. Sometimes he will call me a little later in the day if wants to talk or take a small break. Then he will call me and let me know when he is ready to leave work.

DH used to work from home four days a week. So, I didn' have to call. I just walked down the stairs. But, he recently changed positions and spends 3-4 days/wk in the office. We IM throughout the day. I don't call him unless it's an urgent matter. He usually calls me on his way home (he has an hour drive) so I know when to expect him.

He on the other hand, has this knack for calling me every time I'm in a checkout line! It never fails. Just when the cashier starts ringing up my items, my cell rings. Like I need another thing to handle at that moment besides four kids, the cashier, the items I'm purchasing and the tender. Ah, well. Sometimes I just ignore the call and return it once I've made it to the vehicle with everyone and everything.

Hardly ever--not even once a week in most cases. The guys at work used to tease him because I never called him, now they tell him he's just lucky! I guess most of their wives call at least once a day. He said they've all mentioned that they know if I call it's something really important or an emergency. I just know how busy he is and don't want to bother him, and as my luck goes, anytime I have called him that is hasn't been really important he was in meetings and couldn't talk. Now when he's travelling we will talk much more often, but once I know his schedule I try really hard not to call when I know he's working.
