My baby brother called late tonight to announce he got engaged to a girl no one really cares for in our family and asked me and my 2 dd's to be in the wedding. I of course faked excitement for him and said yes to being in the wedding. I am dreading it already. It costs alot of money to be in a wedding! Especially for girls! Plus, I will have to really work hard to lose my pregnancy weight after the baby comes in August. (That might be an incentive?)

Plus, my dh is gone all this week to Florida for work. So, I have been a single mom to 2 ornery girls who make my pregnancy hormones go crazy because all they do is fight!

So, now I try and sleep and all I do is lay in bed tossing and turning, with this precious baby inside of me doing the same thing!

Maybe now that I vented to all of you I will try and sleep. This board is really good for me and making me realize there are alot of us in the same boat. Comforting.

Thanks!

I finally managed to fall asleep around 1:30am and then was woke up at 5:45 am by DD, and was up for the day!

I guess I can either make the most of this situation and not let it affect my day/mood. Hopefully I can catch a nap this afternoon.

Thanks for listening!

It's hard to get excited about a wedding that you have mixed emotions about. I've been there. It's one of those things that I don't have any advice about it - I've always spent the money and gone with the flow, keeping my opinions to myself. I would be more worried about ruining the relationship with my brother then spending the money or loosing the weight.

I hope you are sleeping better tonight - you need your rest!!!

Talk to your brother. Does he know about your financial situation? Maybe if he knows then you can find dresses in your price range and not "hers"? I know how expensive it is. You'll be happy in the long run that you will be in the wedding. It is about your brother. Just try to relax and get some sleep, it'll all work out some how.
