Be careful of newer Nissans - they're not as reliable as the older ones. *Nissan quality isn't what it used to be. *I haven't read any reviews on the Altima, but I've read several on the Sentra and they were not very good. Edmunds.com is a great place to go to read consumer reviews. *Also, I have a friend who has a new Nissan Pathfinder, and the entire electrical system went out after she had it for two months. *It was repaired under warranty, but my friend is now very nervous about this vehicle.
JMO, but Nissans are more expensive to repair and insure. *Any time a little sensor goes out, we're looking at a $500 repair bill. *The insurance on our 10 y/o battered Nissan truck is only a few bucks cheaper (and I'm talking only $5-$10 cheaper)than my newer Saturn.
I wouldn't own a Dodge product if my life depended on it.
I haven't read any reviews on the Pontiac G6, but of all the American cars I've owned, I've done pretty well with General Motors' products. *Plus, GM is hurting bad financially, so you could probably get a great deal on a G6. *I'm assuming this has a 6 cyl. engine, and GM does well with these types of engines. *Of the three choices, this would be my pick.
Have fun car shopping!
