and neither is my dh! We are leaving in a couple of weeks to go visit his grandmothers. One lives is 90 in an independent living facility in Dayton, Ohio and the other is 93 and lives by herself (she shouldn't though) in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This trip has been planned for months now and it is a good thing we are going.

His grandma in Dayton is in the hospital and will be moving to rehab on Monday. Then they will either move her to an assisted living facility or a nursing home. Her short term memory is going very fast and will be in a wheelchair from now on, it looks like. His other grandma has not been doing well for awhile and REFUSES to leave her house - even though she can't get up the steps and the bathroom is on the 2nd floor. It is a nightmare how she is living - we are staying at a hotel. She is the most stubborn woman I have ever met - except for her dd (my mil!)! They could be twins they are so frustrating.

My husband is having a hard time with this, too. He seems to think everything is happening at once and he may be going out of the country in August for business. He is afraid something will happen while he is gone.

And, my mom is having surgery on July 12th to remove that thing on her thyroid and check it out.

Claire, you sure do have alot on your plate. I am sure you are worried enough about your mom, let alone all the other things going on. I will keep you in my prayers.
