Default What is the best thing you've seen in a bday party goody bag?

I'm just trying to get things together for a bday party in a few weeks and started thinking about goody bags. Seems like the same-old same-old options: Bubbles, play-doh, sidewalk chalk. blah blah blah.

Any good ideas? Kids aged 3 to 5 - boys and girls.

I try not to do any of the little small "junk" that I hate my own kids to bring home! One suggestion that I have seen recently is going and buying some Chuck E. Cheese tokens and printing off coupons for each child to have, too. My kids loved it, and we used the tokens and coupons within the week of getting them!!

I agree with blessed_with_6, dont get anything that if your child brought it home, you would want to throw it away. Nothing super cheap.
How about some McDonalds bucks. You could put one $ buck in each bag. See if any other places have little gift certicates that you can purchase. Diary Queen, mabye your local video store. Our store has kids movies to rent for a buck.
You could buy a small bag of candy. Look in the craft area and see if there is some project that can be shared amoung the kids.
Kids to like play-doh and all the other stuff too.

Granted, this was for October birthdays, but I put in a bag of microwave popcorn, a package of hot cocoa mix, some marshmallows, and a balloon. Simple. You could adjust for summer birthdays. Put in a package of koolaid mix or something along those lines. I have also done the McDonald's buck with like a pencil and an eraser.

NOTHING good comes in a goody bag unless it is a gift certificate to McD's or the ideas alredy stated.

I can't stand goody bags and they go right in the trash when the kids aren't looking. They have never missed them.

Those bounce balloons on a rubber band are always big hits. What's the theme of the party and price range/budget?
a sand pail with beach ball, squirt guns & sunglasses would be cute.

I was at Target today and got a bag of those splash balls for the pool in the summer section that are 50% off right now. They come in cute colors and you can get 4 for a dollar. I was thinking they would be great for goody bags.

My kids bdays are in august so I usually put in school supplies. I also gave out lip balms. I also do books and last year I did those velvet posters.
