My 2 1/2 year old just walked into the room with a little box that I had thrown in the trash, ( it was one she was playing with yesterday ) and asked me why did I throw this in the trash?! I told her that I thought that it was trash and that I put it in the trash and she prompty just told me that " Not to throw my box in the trash that it unacceptable!!!" She is TWO and a HALF Where did she learn the word unacceptable? Oh the things that they pick up! And what a picture she was standing there with her hands on her hips and looking at me like I am a naughty child.

That is the cutest age and, yes, you are right~~they pick up everything and know the appropriate times to say what they have learned.

That is too cute. I'm also glad to know that mine are the only kids digging through the trash in the mornings. I purposely wad up newspaper to put over trash that I don't want them to see if the can isn't full. If it's close to full - I regularly take out the trash at midnight to hide what I'm throwing away!!!

I think that it is genetic! My husband will see something, an old magazine or a piece of clothing that doesnt fit or has stains and he will say " why are you throwing that away?" Cant we use it for something else? Now I know why my house is always a mess.

That's just to funny. Were you able to keep a straight face
when she said it or did you laugh out loud. My now
5 year old asked me one time when i was feeling bad if i had
a cough due to cold I think he was maybe 2 1/2 or 3 when he
asked me this. I tried to keep a straight face but it wasn't easy.

LOL, that is too funny! I can just imagine Addison doing that in the future. I think I would have laughed!

Oh I had to turn away and not let her see me laugh cause that just ticks her off! I am telling you this kid has more attitude and as we call it her DIVANESS than any kid I have ever seen! LOL She is the baby of the family and as you can guess she is just pampered. At 2 years old she started insisting that we call her "PRINCESS ISABELL" if you just called her by her regular name she would look at you and say " thats not my name"

Oh, they pick up on the tiniest things, don't they? My little one is picking up on Spanish and French words (I know a little Spanish, DH a little French, but neither of us is fluent at all), and the most amazing part is she can keep the three languages separate - she understands which is which. They are so amazing.
