I am 35 years old and had my first mammogram today. I had a cyst drained a few years back and have a family history, so the doctors wanted me to have one "just in case". Well, they found "something" and the doctor said "well, I am not feeling good about this. If it's acancer we want to take care of it ASAP" I am in shock. I am scheduled for my biopsy on the 3rd of July and will get the results back the 5th. I am beside myself with the "what ifs". I have just been crying since the appointment.

Just had to vent. Anyone else have this happen to them. Please don't be affraid to say so if your turned out to be cancer. I would to hear ANY info.

I have not had this happen to me, but I did want to let you know that I can understand why you are so upset. News like that isn't easy to hear and the fact that you won't know anything for sure for over a week makes it even worse. The only thing I can say it so think positive and say some prayers.

ray: lots of prayers. I've had stuff removed, but it was never cancerous, so I don't have any real info, but you're in my prayers

Prayers are lifted for you. I will certainly NOT say, "Don't worry about it." Of course you're going to worry! But please know that we are here for you, for whatever you need - an "ear" to listen to your worries, a shoulder to cry on, or a sounding board for your concerns. We care!!!!

My Gyn found a lump in my breast when I was 35. The biopsy came back positive for a benign lump. It and quite a bit of tissue was removed. Shortly after that I had a reduction done, I have not had any problems since (I will be 42 this year.)

It is a very scary thing to go through. I never ever imagined I would have to face something like that in my 30's. Try not to dwell on the what-if's. I know it's easier said than done

My prayers are with you.

I have made several post about my sister who has breast cancer. And I know so many others that have had breast cancer and the good news is that the survival rate is so HIGH. I have an aunt that found out she had breast cancer, had her breast removed, never had to have chemo. Guess what? That was nearly 30 years ago and she is still alive and kicking at 82. My sister told me just the other day when I ask her how she stayed so up beat during all of the treatments that worrying about it did not change anything. I know how hard this might sound but try not to look at the negative. Chances are everything will be fine. I know how hard that is - when I had my first mamogram at 36 (I am adopted, no medical history) I had to go back twice for another mamogram and then an ultrasound. I was so scared even though the techs told me this was normal with a first one in order to have a good baseline. Everything did turn out to be fine for me. I am going to pray for you and I hope you will keep everyone posted on how things go.

My prayers are with you.. Do you have someone you can talk to about it.. I found a lady that has had numerous lump removed and finally at 60 a mascotomy... My gyn found a lump last fall, I had an untrasound done to measure the size and shape and have an appointment for a biopsy scheduled. But my heart sank when I heard the news, it was a rough time in our marriage and I knew he wasn't supportive so I found some one who was. I love her to death and will be walking in the Relay for Life with her in 2 weeks..
