ITS OFFICIAL, I AM GOING TO BE FIRED FROM Job Friday. I am pretty excited :happy dance:and scared at the same time. This is what I wanted which is weird to say. I have worked as an international sales manager for 6 years at this company, but since I had my son the work doesn’t seem too important and is not my first priority. My job wants it to be my first priority and I cant give them what they want so I told this to my boss and he agreed to fire me so I can get unemployment while i look for the perfect part time night job. I am leaving on good terms which is great…it got a bit sticky there for a little while so i am happy it all turned out…they will even be giving me a going away party…what more can I ask for. I thank god so much for this!!!!! I was praying for it to all pan out this way!!!! Sooooo I am scared I am going to go stir crazy at home and I hope I don’t…I really want to plan out my days so I don’t get stuck in a couch potato rut….i will be emailing you ladies a lot!

That is GREAT! I never thought I'd congratulate someone for being fired...but way to go!! I think that is so great of your boss to "fire" you so you can collect unemployment! It's like the best of both worlds for you! No rush to find a new job since you'll still be having money coming in AND you can be home with your son!!

Why treat someone like a priority when all they see you as is an option?

I'm really happy for you, but are you sure your boss will approve the umemployment?? You can be denied if he contests it. I hope not though. Sorry I don't mean to be gloomy, I just don't know many bosses that would do that.

Good for u. I understand the trepedation.
The dh's bosses were nice enough to fire him as well, except he didn't want to be fired. they fired him so he could get the benefits.

It's nice that it' summer and u can play a little more.

i know its funny huh.... Well I signed the papers today and I have an email from the HR girl at work telling me what they are going to say and I what I should say to collect so that may be good documentation if they try to contest it. I don’t think he will though.

WooHoo!!! I swear only a person with the nickname GOTTOTHINKPOSITIVE would get fired, be excited and come out of it smelling like a rose and much happier for it! Thats great!!! Congratulations.
