What size class does your child have?

My ds has 34 kids in his class. The normal size would be about 23.

So far, for K and 1st, my DD has had 20. Then a boy moved here and they ended the year with 21. We don't get the teacher and class info until 2p.m. the day before school starts!

My 3rd Grader has 20 in his class. Our principal doesn't like to have more than 20 kids per class from grades K-3, which is great.

The 2nd grade worked out perfect for the school this year(my ds is in 2nd BTW ). 40 girls & 40 boys. We have 4 classes for each grade, so right now each class has 10 boys/10 girls.

34 kids in one room? My son would freak out - that's huge! Are they going to transfer out some of the kids? My sister is a teacher and today she has 26, but at least 4 or 5 will have to be bussed to another school starting next week. (poor kids - no one seems to care how rough it is to moved kids around each week...)

But 34 is insane!!!

School does not start until Sept 6th but we have 250 kids in the High School- so no class should have more than 15 students

Just found out there are only 14 kids in son's Kindergarten class. I'm very pleased with that.

Ds's montessori has 26 but there are two full time teachers in each room. So really for ratio it is 13!
