Sitting here on my computer this morning and my door bell rings, mind you Ihave not had a shower so I am stillin my pjs. Look out the window and it's a young guy, I answer the door, he introduces himself and starts his speech.........................................
hi my name is Rob I am a college student from Texas and I have some books I would like to show you.............................................
I hate this every summer they show up at your door and want you to buy these books to help your kids in school. Yeah great and I understand it would be a great investment but not for $270. All the while trying to convince you since this person bought thema dn you knwo them you should buy them too. Sorry I just can not afford them and will my kids really use them or will they just become dust collectors? Nope sorry guy just can't justify that kind of money and yep I bet the dust would grow thick!!!!!!!
Stepping off my n my soapbox: now!!!!

I DO live in the country and they still show up at my door. It is just a college kid and it happens EVERY summer. Oh well it's over now so I am good to go. They just have these kids out trying to sell, sell, sell and i think they make them think they will make a lot of money. Not to mention they don't even know their way around so they ask you about every house in your neighborhood/area who has kids who doesn't.

If there's someone at the door and I'm not expecting anyone and don't know who it is...I don't answer the door!

They aren't selling anything I can't buy if I want it from somewhere else without being hasseled at my house!

I normally wouldn't have answered only my dd went running down the hallway to see who it was and i am sure he heard me say something to her while I was running to my br to but on a bra.

The only people we would get coming to our door at our old house were Jehova Witnesses and they were always very nice. They didn't come all that frequently, maybe once a year?

When we moved to this house this past spring, I couldn't believe the people coming by to sell me insurance, alumininun siding, finaincial planning etc L.OL! We had a lot in the early spring and now we haven't had anyone in a while.

I feel no obligation to answer my door though if I'm not expecting anyone...sometimes it's hard to hide though.
