We bought a trampoline and an enclosure a year ago from Sams club. Dh spent a few hours one Saturday putting it together. We had it up for a week and I made dh take it down because it stressed me out worrying about the kids. Every time they got on I would have to sit and watch them the entire time because I thought one of them would try something crazy and get hurt. We were very serious about the rules but I could never relax w/them jumping on it. A few years ago one of ds's friends landed on her arm when she bounced back. Her arm broke. It's too much of a risk for me.

I have 3 kids and we are on our 2nd one. None of my girls have ever fallen off or injured themselves on it. We don't have the enclosure either. We do have rules and I expect their friends to obey the rules when they are over. I think you should get one for her.

There is no way I would ever purchase one. I was turned off by them after hearing all the horrible injury stories from friends and family that are doctors/pediatricians. I also think they're really ugly. LOL:D

We bought one a year ago with the spring covers & netting. My kids love it, they are 7 & 9 now, we got it for my ds 6th b-day. They have rules though & we dont have neighbor kids coming over either. It is something they can do together without fighting! That is just us though, if you know before hand that it is going to worry you all the time, maybe you could get one of the blow up jumpy things, they cost about the same (Walmart) and you can move them if you want!!

I'm a nurse and I say definitely no. it's the most dangerous toy you can get for your kids-causes the most injuries, kids have lost toes, broken arms. I even have a friend who is a quad since she was 9 from falling off a trampoline.

If you decide to get one please put the net wrap around it. Better yet you can buy the small tramp with a handle attached. it's less than 1 ft off ground. I've seen them at toys r us.

If your insurance finds out I've heard your rates will go up.

My kids got one for Christmas this past year from some family friends. She was a nurse before retirement and we agreed to let them have it. They love it and my 2 year old even loves it. They take turns jumping and have a blast with it. We live out in the country, so there's no worry of neighbors being on it and they rarely have friends over because we're so far out. I'm just not the paranoid type. Vehicles can be dangerous too, but they ride in one every single day.

We have had 2 of them. The first lasted about 7 years and then we gave it away because the pads on the springs had completely fallen apart. The second one broke after a couple years because it had some problems and was recalled. We didn't buy another because we do not have room for one at this house. The most important thing is make your kids follow the rules. First and foremost, the trampoline says only 1 person at a time. We broke that rule because kids always want to jump with someone else. So we let them jump 2 at a time. But ONLY JUMP. If they were trying flips or things like that then there was a definite rule of 1 person only. Don't let a small child jump with a big child. The smaller child can be thrown from the trampoline. Big kids, only 1 person period. If you enforce the rules and they follow them, then you shouldn't have any major problems. I made all of my neighbors sign a liability waiver for their kids. One kid did break his arm but not because he was jumping but because he jumped off instead of using the ladder.

We got one when Bailey was TWO!!! I was against it then. We did NOT get the enclosure. And to tell you the truth.. none of our kids have fallen off or gotten hurt *knock on wood* you would be amazed at how it helps their coordination!!!

we have had ours for 2 years and love it we have the enclosure and we have rules no flips ect. my kids also take turns and mom or dad sit in there with them while jumping.. it is great excersise really works out your legs. i feel there are dangers with anything swinsets pools taking gymnastics playing sports i think you have to have rules on it and stick with them. my kids have never been injured.

The one I got can accomodate 5 - 6 kids. My son is going to be 7 next week and plays in in daily. I can even jump in it, it's a blast.
