Oh I soooo relate to that one! If DH is home and it's "mommy, Mommy, Mommy" I tell the kids ...."See that guy over there? That's Daddy, and Daddy can do everything Mommy can and some stuff even better than Mommy!" Or if Rob isn't home sometimes I'll reply with "Mommy's not here right now please leave a message after the beep. Beep" And if I don't beep Kelsey will say "There's no beep Mom!"

I know what you mean...I hear it all day long...."mommy this" and "mommy that" "mommy, mommy, mommy, mom" I just tell them that I changed my name and I'm not telling them what it is...but of course that only prompts more questions and attention.

We all need a vacation...alone!!

What's worse is that even Daddy calls me Mommy! Baby giggles and jumps up and down when daddy comes home, as ds runs into his arms. When mommy comes home, baby cries at the sound of her voice (out of relief) and holds out her arms right away, while ds rarely runs into my arms. It's usually, "Hi, mommy. Did you get me a surprise?" I guess it's the way it should be - they should take us for granted for now. I expect a payback when they're grown up! I want to see those grandkids!!

Oh and don't forget to mention that DADDY is always the fun one! They always cry for DADDY when they're in trouble, like he's going to come save them from mean 'ol mom! I completely understand where you're coming from!

I was just thinking this last night. Dad works night so I feel like I am a single parent sometimes cuz he has to to sleep. When he get up, turns on the TV and usually waits for supper. We have four kids and most of the time I have it under control but not always why can't he pick up on this... Also why can't he help with out being asked. The are his kids too!!! Sorry you hit a sore spot right now!! LOL Lisa
