my 18mos girl had her forehead restructured and her eyes repositioned a little on monday the 9th.

wow! such a major surgery and its all over! she did fine, (better than her mother) and she is back to eating, sleeping, playing and fighting just like normal!
but she has no hair

one thing i learned from being in the picu at a world class ped's hosp is that....i am VERY lucky to have had an "elective" surgery where she would recover and go on as normal. there are some very very sick kids there for weeks, months and it just made me appreciate the health of my kids and the fact that we got to GO HOME....

i dont know how some families do it when one child is in the hosp for weeks/months at a time.....

but for me, we are blessed and our only issue is a bald kid!

thank you to all who have asked how things went...they went great!

I am so glad it went well!!

You are so right, we all tend to take things like our kids' health for granted.

Isn't it amazing how easily they bounce back? Bless her heart, sending prayers your way for a speedy and healthy recovery.
