Well we have had a time this year keeping a lawn mower in working order. We have 2 mowers, one riding and one push that are both not working. I have one mower left and it is a reel mower(non motorized, old fashioned). The advantage is it uses no gas or oil. It is entirely human propelled. It will be a great workout. The disadvantage is it is a lot harder to use. That however is not my owie. I had to lower the blades on this thing and was having a time with the bolt. All of the sudden I look down and I am crawling with fireants! I got a few bites because I didn't get them off fast enough. I am just recovering from the last time I got attacked by fireants. My feet and legs look like a war zone. Not the sexy summer look I was going for. I hate fire ants. The only good thing about them is they are natural predators to termites. Oh well. now I need to be off to cut grass.

Oh, don't I HATE those little suckers! I had never heard of them until we moved to SC. They are terrible. Brandon was playing near a pine tree a couple of months ago and started screaming. He was crawling with fire ants! He had little blisters all over his back where they had gotten up inside his shirt.

Oh my goodness, that's aweful! We don't have them here, I don't think... Sorry you were attacked!

BTW: I've always wanted one of those old fashioned push mower thingies.

That really stinks about the fire ants. They are soo NOT fun to deal w/. I do like the push mowers though. My parents have one and they are a great workout!
