I am just tired of everything right now! I am tired of not having enough money. I am 43 years old, have a college degree and tons of life experience and I cannot find a simple job! I must really suck at interviewing I had 2 interviews this past week that I thought went really well, and nothing!! I can't even get a call from McDonalds or WalMart!!! I suppose they think I am over qualified and won't stick around. Heck, I have worked the last 4 years for less than $9 an hour!!! I have thought about going back to school, there is a program near by to get my teaching license one night a week for less than 2 years (probably less for me since I nearly completed an education degree 20 years ago) but I can't get financial aide since I already have a Bachelors degree, and I can't afford tuition since I can't find a decent job I don't know what to do anymore, I am just feeling tired and depressed, which is NOT like me at all!!! I usually come up with a plan and pull myself out of slumps pretty easily. But I just can't think of a viable plan this time! I am so sick of telling my kids no for everything. I NEED a better job, but I don't think I have anymore options.

Hang in there Happymom. Things will turn around. Maybe this time when you do find a job it will be "THE" job you've been needing and wanting.

I'm sorry you are so down. New house. New Town. New surroundings, and now new job hunt. I can certainly relate to the stress of that. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. The power of the mommysavers prayer train is good ~ proven time and again!

Maybe our reunion in a few weeks will perk up your spirits. It will for me anyway. I can't wait to meet the real Happymom, KellynKay, Kim and Julieinmn. Maybe that will give you something to look forward to too!

((BIG HUGS))

Thats must be frustrating. You are very lucky to have been able to go to college and have a degree. I have 5 children and have been a SAHM all of my kids lives. My husband filed for divorce in December. Im out on my own for the first time really and depend on child support and alimony to survive. It can be scarey. My youngest are 1 and 3 so working would only go to pay childcare. I have to work eventually though and not sure what Im going to do when the alimoney stop and my oldest turns 18. We will make it through though! Keep your chin up!!

I know the feeling. Though you are more educated than i am, it's still very frustrating to WANT to work and not be able to find anything. Hang in there.

Not that this is the answer you are looking for but....

YOU NEED A DAY AT THE BEACH!!

Does this week work for you? Granted it's gas money (and probably a little money to swim) but what better way to beat the heat and the blues??? Sunshine, Good times, and a friend!

I know that the perfect job is out there somewhere for you. God has a plan, and yours doesn't include working at WalMart!!!

Happymom...can I join you? I feel like crap today too for totally different reasons...can we say...HUSBAND!?!?
At least a new job will help you out...a new husband for me isn't feasible!

I do know God can turn things around for you. Hang in there...there IS an answer, you just can't see it yet. It will come when it's time.

I'm so sorry this is going on. Try to get out today and get a fresh look. It's Saturday!

Also, talk with the school you want to attend - I KNOW there is financial aid out there even when you have a degree - Scholarships, too.

And on the job? Maybe it's God's way of telling you to shoot a little higher.

Try to indulge yourself today. Even if it's laying in the sun!

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling down. I know you've been frustrated about the whole job search thing. It sucks when things don't work out the way we think we want them to, doesn't it? I don't have any good advice, either, but if you need to scream and cry and cuss, you know you can always PM me!!!
