We spent most of the month of July riverside in our trailer. We had a local channel, PBS and DVDs for the girls. No computers, email and minimal cell phone use. I was proud of how unplugged my husband became. Since we are in a drought, we had no rain the entire time and were in/on the water almost every day. We water skied 15 of 20 days. Our 4 yo daughter learned to kneeboard behind the boat and went out on a disc tandem with my husband. Our 20 mo became proficient at jumping in off the swim platform and saying 'Go Boat'. We were fortunate enough to have our 75 year old neighboor who is still an awesome barefooter, tricks, discs & slalom skis to come along with us on the boat most days. Needless to say I'm completely worn out but it was a fun time for all.
I had a message when I logged in about not posting for several weeks so this is my welcome back post.

Lydia on the boat at the dock.

Lilly kneeboarding behind the boat.

My husband and Lilly on the disc.

Me slalom skiing.

Awesome! What a fun way to spend the month. I am proud of you for braving that with young kids. I used to live like that in my twenties - we would work and ski all winter and then camp and travel and play for the whole mud season. So much fun but I can't imagine doing it with kids!

Welcome back!

If it makes you feel any better, I did have a screaming 20 month old on the boat most of the time. She is getting better each time but it is difficult.

We are anxiously awaiting the weekend. Lilly is chomping at the bit to get back on the kneeboard.

Welcome back.. It looks like you had a awsome time.. My dd learned to kneeboard at 4 and loved it.. She is hooked on the tube this year.. NEVER should have bought it..

We are also an outdoor family that loves to spend time together. Hope you can relax and catch up on all the mail and laundry..
