Hey Ladies, everyone and everything about this website is awesome! I could sit here all day and read! Anyway...as I mentioned in my first thread I want to be a SAHM! More than ANYTHING! Right now, we aren't ready, but im on a 12 month plan...but...I still have major doubts that me and my DH will be able to pull it off. I wanted to hear other women's stories and hardships and sacrifices and obstacles that they have overcome to be able to spend their time with their children. There are lots of options to be able to bring in some income while staying at home...but I want to make sure I do the best for my family. I have really been stressed out and depressed lately and I just need someone to keep on top of me to make sure I stay on my track!

My house is a mess...we're in debt...and I know if i were more organized I could make our lives less stressful. But getting there is such an ordeal for me. I constantly nag my husband to spend more time with me and our son but he is working for the same thing I am, to keep me home! I really want someone to come and organize my life for me!!! I just need to hear what other people have been through to keep my spirits up and motivation rolling! Im so exhausted, but I know, if i keep working hard, i will get what i want.

Any pointers would be helpful! THANK YOU for listening to my whininess!!!!

Just know that once you start de-cluttering your house it becomes easier and easier. I no longer feel bad about throwing things away or donating them. If I don't wear it, use it all the time, or love it, it is gone. Don't bring more "stuff" into the house. It is hard at first to part with things you've always held onto. (I am not talking about momentos or heirlooms) But you will find yourself saying "no, don't need it" more often than not. Lemme tell ya, it feels goooood. I think you will be surprised at how good you'll feel with a tidy house. It is one less thing to keep you from diving into those finances and figuring out where to begin. Best of luck.

Give yourself a break, first of all ! If you are dealing with feelings of depression, it is extremely hard to keep your house clean and organized...trust me I know from experience! Whenever I was depressed, I just didn't have the energy to care about cleaning. I wanted to, but just couldn't. Now that I am feeling better, it reflects on what the house looks like (though you wouldn't know it right now....it's a mess from being gone camping all week and hauling everything back into the house !). It's much easier to care about things when your mental/emotional state is good. Take some time for yourself and try not to stress so much. Hope you are feeling good soon and then you can get that house is tip top shape. ((HUGS))
