We have a rug in front of the tub, I'd hate for someone to slip. Nothing in front of the toliet though my bathroom is pretty small.

My only problem with our rug is in the new house our dog sleeps on the rug (black lab) and I have so much dog hair in the bathroom now days. I wish she wouldn't sleep in there.

Well...some idiot put carpet in our bathroom...ok, ok...the home manufacturer put carpet in our bathroom...but my BIL is soon going to pull it up for us and put down tiles. I do have three all cotton rugs that I just toss in the wash. I don't want a furry cover on my toilet, just too gross...germ catchers! (JMO)

The kids have NO carpet, rugs, etc in their bathroom. They are the messiest kids I've ever met and God only knows what rugs would catch in THEIR bathroom!!!

Yes, we have them in all of our bathrooms. I only buy the washable big thick and soft ones. I would actually have more work in the bathroom if I didn't have them...My girls would get the floor all wet by the tub/shower areas!
We have two full bathrooms that have all rugs (in front of tub, in front of toilet, in front of sinks) and yes, one on the toilet lid...We have to have toilet lid covers, or my kids would slam it down and break the lid...both girls "drop" the toilet lid/seat down EVERY time they go to the bathroom! It's an aweful habit of theirs!
We also have a 3/4 bathroom with a rug just in front of the shower. and a 1/2 bathroom with rug just in front of the sink.

Nay to bathroom rugs of all styles and types. I just throw a towel down before showers.

I use rugs but I also use a "bath mat", maybe people don't use those anymore? It's like a towel...I lay it over the edge of the tub when it's not in use.

Toilet cover - no - not needed, sort of frumpy, it reminds me of my grandma's bathroom, it's just one more thing to wash and one more thing to putz around with when you clean the toilet.

Rugs - yes I would have one in front of my shower and tub, my toilet (for the boys) and my sink (hubby shaves head and face and gets sloppy.)

I currently have wall to wall padded - yes padded carpet in my bathroom. We bought the house from an elderly lady who liked her carpeting. It will be ripped up soon, we are going to put some kind of moppable flooring down.

Bath room rugs are a good thing especially in the winter when it's cold and you need something warm on your feet. I do keep mine as far as possible away from the toilet though. Having 2 boys and a 34 year old boy (my dh) i would never have a toilet cover or a rugh in front of the toilet.

Downstairs bathroom (basement): wall-to-wall carpet and a toilet seat cover.

Master bath: one larger area rug in front of the sink and another smaller one in front of the toilet / shower door. Toilet seat cover.

Hall bath: one extra long area rug that stretches from in front of the sink to in front of the toilet. Toilet seat cover. When DD takes a bath, I put down a towel.

I toss any area rug into the washer. No problems.
